Tim O'Reilly knows tech books better than probably anybody else on the planet. His book sales analysis really track what is happening in tech. And he notes that Java book sales are up by 5% (of the total market, not of previous Java sales) over the last year. Better check this out before you think about using .Net!

At today's WWDC Keynote, Steve Jobs announced that by 2006 Apple would be selling Intel-based Macs. I think this will be a disaster, as witenessed by my new sigquote: Apple's newest and last motto: "Buy our $2,500 Intel PC clone instead of that other $500 PC clone, ours is better" :-)
